CarbonelTHE KING OF CATS By: Barbra SleighRosemry decides to clean houses over the summer to suprise her mother with the money that she had made. She goes to the market to buy cleaning supplies. Instead of cleaning supplies, she finds more adventure then she ever dreamed of. Rosemary buys an old broom and a cat from a old woman. To her suprise she can hear the cat talk whenever she holds the broom. The cat, whose name is Carbonel, tells her the old lady is a witch who has kept him imprisoned and he needs Rosemary to break the witches spell and free him. Carbonel tells Rosemary she needs to find the witches hat, cauldron, and learn the witches spell to free him. Rosemary, along with her friend John, starts looking. They go back to the market to see if anyone knows where the witches stuff is. Luckily, an old man is able to help them find the "occupier" who bought the hat. They also find the cauldron in a tea shop. Last but not least, they track down the witch and get the spell. Rosemary and John do the spell that the witch had told them, and Carbonel was free. He returns to his thrown after fighting a old ginger cat (who was Johns aunts cat). They return the ginger cat to his aunt, and Carbonel stayed to rule his kingdom. Rosemarys summer was much more exciting that she ever thought it could be!
