Hello, I am Titus Baker, and this is my book report on Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney. This is one of many books I read this spring, but I chose it for two reasons, I had already read it three times, and because it was funny, it had middle school drama, and because the main character is so different from me. Now you can lie back and enjoy the ride.
,
This is the paragraph about why I thought the book was funny. A sentance that I thought was funny was this: "I try to explain all this popularity stuff to my friend Rowley (who is probably hovering right around the 150 mark, by the way), but I think it just goes in one ear and out the other with him."

This is the paragraph about why I thought it had drama. This is an example from the book that I thought had drama: "But I guess he had his heart set on rolling that snowball down the hill, and he was really mad. But get this: Rowley was mad at ME for what DAD did. I told Rowley he was being a big baby, and we got in a shoving match. Right when it looked like we were going to get in an all-out fight, we got ambushed from the street."

This is the paragraph about why I thought the main character, Greg Heffley, is so different from me. First of all, Greg only has one good friend; I have many good friends. Second, Greg is mean to his good friend and always plays pranks on his friend; I do not do that. And lastly, Greg hates school. So that pretty much zeros us out as having much in common.

I really enjoy this book series by Jeff Kinney. I find myself laughing and imagining all the crazy things that happen to Greg and wonder what I would do if I were him. But since I told you we have little in common, I guess I will just keep reading, and reading, and reading...

Hello, I am Titus Baker and this is my book report on The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, by C. S. Lewis. This is the fifth book in the series and there are a total of seven books. This book takes place completely at sea. I like this book because it has magic.

When Edmond and Lucy were staying with their cousin Eustace they went into a room that had a painting of a ship in it. Lucy said that the ship looked very Narnian, then Eustace came into the room and made fun of them because they were talking about their "imaginary country." And after Eustace had finished teasing them the ship in the painting started to move. And the next thing they knew, there was water pouring out of the painting. Then, they were all under water in the sea. When they floated up to the top of the water, their old friend Caspian dove down and grabbed Edmond, Lucy and Eustace. And that's how the three of them magically got aboard the Dawn Treader.

While everyone aboard the Dawn Treader was exploring an island, Eustace snuck away from camp and accidentally found a dragon. After the dragon had died, Eustace went inside it's cave and found a stash of treasure. He put on a golden bracelet and fell asleep. When he woke up, he thought there was a dragon next to him. Then when he looked at his reflection in the pond, he realized that it was his own claws that he thought belonged to another dragon. He then ate the dead dragon and flew back to camp. And that's how Eustace magically turned into a dragon.

When Caspian and his army sailed to Ramandu's island, birds flew down to the island and seemed to come directly from the sun. One bird dropped a magical berry in Ramandus mouth. When he ate it, he seemed to grow a little younger. When Caspian said to sail further, one man stayed behind on Ramandu's island. And every evening a huge feast appeared on a stone table.

As you can see, this book series obviously has lots and lots of magic. I really enjoyed reading this book and I can't wait to finish the next book, called The Silver Chair. Like I said in my last book report, I would recommend this series to anyone. So that was my book report, now I am pretty sure you agree that the book is exciting. So, see you later!
